Ruukka was born at the Premiere Orlando International Beauty Show. While walking the show floor Ruukka Co-Founders were talking about the thousands of vendors and products selling at the show every year. With all those booths it was stunning that during the show stylists would mention that while the education opportunities were phenomenal the various "new" products were pretty much the same year after year.

 

While hard to believe, after a year of research it turns out those stylists were correct. Go to your local professional beauty supply store and look at the ingredients on various products. The shampoos/conditioners, masques, styling products, etc all have a slight variation of the SAME INGREDIENTS. Laden with silicones, oils, and chemicals these products are the same base formulas surrounded by marketing "fluff". 

 

Ruukka was created specifically to bring innovation to Professional Salons. We could have launched with a line of shampoo/conditioner, styling products, etc but that isn't Ruukka. We spent years working with chemists from all over the world to offer something INNOVATIVE. Oils and silicones can do some wonderful things for hair IN MODERATION. The problem is almost every product on the market today is loaded with oils, silicones, and other chemicals that aren't water soluble and sit on the hair for weeks until they breakdown.
